“We are proud to welcome workers from the first unionized Starbucks store in Alberta to our growing union family,” said Scott Lunny, USW Director for Western Canada, in the release.
Workers at the Starbucks on Douglas Street in Victoria BC were the trailblazers forging the path ahead so workers at stores like Millrise Blvd in Calgary, and Sherwood Park in Edmonton could have a path to tread toward Better Work Now. It is time now for you to step forward and demand better. Being Baristas does not make us unworthy of a living wage, especially when it is our kindness, compassion, skill, and determination that have been making our employers millions.
